Alexander Ikefuna of Neighborhood Development Service passed along the following with regard to the water main replacement on Lewis Mountain Rd:
The permit proposes that Lewis Mountain Road will be closed from Emmet St. to Alderman Rd. Local traffic only will be permitted. The dates of the closure are from 5/30/16-8/1/16 between 7am and 5pm. 14 on-street parking spaces will be closed. There will also be a one lane closure at the intersections.
This will mainly affect cut-through commuters to UVa, but the question about on-street parking spaces will probably affect some neighborhood residents.
