Lewis Mountain Neighborhood was originally conceived as a development surrounding a golf course by the Charlottesville Hotel Company, but never made it off the ground because of the onset of the Great Depression.
Lewis Mountain neighborhood consists of 133 acres of residential and green space as well some commercial space along Ivy Road.
